This page is to celebrate the Danish victory of the ECSC 2022.

Denmark won the trophy of the European Cyber Security Challenge in 2022. This was the first time in history Denmark became European Cyber Security champion - and it was the smallest country to ever win. The National team was received at Aalborg University Copenhagen after coming back from the international competition in Vienna, Austria - during the trip, the Danish team gave autographs when approached by 'fans' in the airport. Jens Myrup Pedersen, AAU Professor and coach of the Danish National Cyber Security team, was leading the delegation with Adam Blatchley Hansen, then PhD student at Aarhus University and also coach of the team. A few days after arriving back home, the National team was received at the major's office.

The Natioanal team is the final group selected in the Danish Cyber Security Championships (De Danske Cybermesterskaber or DDC). Therefore, DDC plays a crucial role in attracting and selecting the Danish team. DDC 2022 was made by an outstanding group of Danish partners - Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU), University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Aarhus University (AU), IT-Universitetet i København (ITU), Happy42 and, the coordinating partner, Aalborg University (AAU) - and was sponsored by the Industriens Fond (The Danish Industry Foundation). Students, Research Assistants, PhDs, teachers and staff were involved as developers, ambassadors and project manager.
